As a devoted instructor and educator, I have a strong passion for teaching eager and committed students of all levels. I currently teach private lessons for students from beginner level to advanced. I have given workshops and masterclasses in Pennsylvania and Iowa, and continue to do more. Having studied with great flute pedagogues, I use the knowledge I learned from them and create my own teaching style based on each of my students' individual needs. I use technical exercises with innovative craftsmanship, making sure that my students are always feeling inspired.
Nurturing the student's creativity is a big priority, and I strive to make sure they always feel motivated to make music. Being able to learn about music overall is important to me so I advocate to help them learn about the history and compositional theory behind the repertoire they are working on. While keeping a teacher-student relationship, I value the student being able to create their own ideas and suggestions. All in all, I am always inspired by my students and continue to learn from them as well.
I cover topics from developing proper form to produce a beautiful tone, creating own personal musical ideas, and performing with self-confidence. On a more advanced scale, I also teach how to develop a helpful warm-up, how to become your own teacher, and how to prepare for an audition.
Along with private lessons, I am available for masterclasses, sectionals, and performing classes.
I am currently taking flute students of all levels in the Greater New York City area and in Central Jersey!
